BC Climate Action Secretariat: Community Energy + Emissions Inventory Advising

BC’s Community Energy and Emission Inventory Initiative is the world’s first effort to gather data at a national or sub-national (province/state) level to generate community-scale energy and emissions inventories. The CEEI incorporates data from all regulated utilities, as well as the provincial automobile insurance agency, transit authorities, and landfill operators.  Inventories are generated every two years for almost 200 BC local governments to support community energy and GHG planning.   The inventory includes other indicators useful in helping understand inventories such as housing split and distance travelled. Alex Boston supported the provincial government on a contractual basis to inform development of the CEEI and then subsequently during a continuous improvement process.
